How do we practice capoeira?

We categorize our training according to the age group and also the focus of practice in each class.

Movement and Mobility

A class designed based on a certain skill taken from the beautiful acrobatic movement of Capoeira. But Rather than focusing heavily on the skill as an end goal, we emphasize more on how the body gets a lot of benefit from all the preparation and conditioning as we aim for the goal itself.

Kids Class

Our kids Capoeira classes are designed for children ages 4-12 years old to be active and also to be interactive with each other, grow and learn in a safe, nurturing and positive environment. To be more effective, the classes will be divided by the group age (4-6yo) and (7-12yo).

AcrobaTricks

It's a safe and non competitive practice for the kids aged 7 years old and above, focusing on the individual flow movement skills based on Martial art and gymnastics.

Traditional Capoeira

For the children, Capoeira is an exciting mixture of kicks, cartwheels, handstands, and dodges, with singing and live music.

Capoeira helps to develop balance, coordination, general level of fitness and flexibility, and sense of rhythm. In addition to the benefits listed, Capoeira helps build personalities through self-expression in a fun and playful way.

Capoeira Game Technique

The class is focusing on building and improving the skills of playing Capoeira in pairs. While in different martial arts it might be referred to as sparring, Capoeira calls it "jogo", a game. A game to be played by 2 people with a variety of ways of playing it where it'd be an interactive challenge and responses between the two players in a flow.

Rhythm & Movement

A class for dedicated practitioners seeking depth of the practice. In this class we will train to play the Capoeira instruments, singing in Brazilian Portuguese language, learning the traditions and ritual, to get the full understanding of the art.

Capoeira Fundamental

A slow pace training focusing on the basic Capoeira movement patterns, such as squats, lunges, and body rotations. A well balanced body weight training system to maintain and improve our overall fitness. No experience needed.
